IP2Location announced the release of new Firewall IP List API
With some special reasons one would want to block users or traffics from certain countries due to get rid of spammers or cyber attackers, IP2Location — the world leading provider of the IP geolocation technology has added a new feature to help system administrator to control their site access easily via Firewall IP List API.
To block visitors by country, system administrator just needs to generate the country’s IP address in either IPv4 or IPv6 via country IP blocks. The firewall list from multiple countries can be easily downloaded using any scripting languages or console application such as cURL, wget and so on. In this new Firewall IP List API, it supports multiple countries in one API call. System administrator can automate the monthly download using script to improve productivity as well.
The output formats supported are Apache .htaccess, Linux iptables, CIDR, Netmask, Inverse Netmask, IIS web.config, Cisco ACL, PeerGuardian2, network-object, Cisco bit bucket, Juniper Junos and MikroTik.
